Bodies of Peru air crash victims recovered

Emergency workers gather the remains of those killed in a helicopter crash in the Peruvian jungle.

Initial efforts to recover the bodies of seven employees of U.S.-based company Columbia Helicopters were hampered by fire.

Five U.S. citizens and two Peruvians were on board the helicopter when it crashed minutes after taking off from Pucallpa, about 500 miles east of Lima.

The pilot apparently tried to drop cargo as the chopper lost power. At least three ot those on board people were believed to have leapt from the doomed craft.

Columbia helicopters said it'll work with witnesses and authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.
