British loyalists clash with police

Police sirens scream through the streets of Belfast during another night of clashes between police and pro-British loyalists.

Militant groups have fought with police in several instances over the past month over the removal of the British flag from the Belfast City Hall building.

Protesters threw bricks and crates at armoured vehicles (nats) and fireworks at police officers.

At least 70 people have been arrested.

Officials say recent tensions have been among the province's worst since a peace accord was signed in 1998 that ended 30 years of conflict.
