Protests against attacks on women have erupted in Nepal, inspired, the demonstrators say, by similar scenes in neighbouring India.
These campaigners on the streets of Kathmandu say they want better protection.
SOUNDBITE: BANDANA RANA, PRESIDENT OF WOMEN'S NGO SAATHI, SAYING (English):
"There has been increasing incidences of violence, right in the capital city also, and some women have been raped, some women have been burned alive. Even security personnel and the legal authorities have been involved in such crime so we are gathering here to say enough is enough."
The Nepal protesters say their campaign has been fuelled by India's outcry over the gang rape of a student in New Delhi who later died from her injuries.
The Indian government is pledging new legislation in response.
The campaigners in Nepal will be hoping for a similar result.
