You know, both of us had high hopes for this weeks video. We both practiced when we had the time, we talked via video and phone about our progression. We compared notes, combos, timing, strategies and everything went well... until today's match-up that is. Both of us are irate over this game. And you would be able to hear us IF WE COULD GET THE FUCKING AUDIO WORKING!!
Seriously, we spent an HOUR before fighting to try and bring you guys a great experience with commentary. But as usual, it's something on my end. I got the audio to work for his responses clear as a fucking bell, but you still couldn't hear me unless I was only in the audio setup. We sat in the lobby and tested this problem before recording. I turned down the game volume like many of you suggested last week, and turned up the mic volume as well. However, it still doesn't pick up my input audio. No way should a device like this cost that much, where it can't pick up in-game audio. And I've seen other youtubers doing this successfully with online communication between others, so WTF am I doing wrong?
We both got to the point where we were so frustrated with it, that we decided to ditch commentary altogether. (Which is sad, we had great exchanges with comments during fights) We felt we would let our fighting speak for itself... yeah, not happening. Still moves aren't coming out, combos aren't finished. There was even at one point my characters were swinging by themselves, and I had let go of the controller to show him. Zenzo as a witness also saw that at times, I couldn't pick my character lineup.
There are times mid-air supers wouldn't come out; Zenzo said it may be something with my fighting stick, because it feels like roulette when it comes to executing moves. Regardless what it is, I felt like punching a hole through my 56 inch flat screen. I'm sure you will all see where supers should have linked into combos for both of us AND THAT FUCKING SHORT/LIGHT PUNCH! Disrupting combos AND supers on both our ends? Really SNK? Fix that shit, that's garbage! So what we've decided to do is show you guys some highlights first, before getting to the full matches. We played 11 ugly games against each other today.
