Egypt's controversial new constitution, drawn up by an Islamist dominated parliament, has been approved in a referendum according to rival groups.
The Muslim Brotherhood of President Mohamed Mursi claimed 64 per cent voted for, though in the papers there are claims of widespread fraud.
