A couple of months ago few would have paid much attention to this fishmonger from East London.
But an audition on the X Factor and some 4 million Youtube hits later, Muhammad Shahid Nazir has a record deal and just became an unlikely contender in the race for this year's UK Christmas number one.
And it's all thanks to this.
UPSOT
Also known as the "One Pound Fish" man, Nazir initially came up with the catchy tune to attract customers to his market stall.
SOUNDBITE: Muhammad Shahid Nazir, "One Pound Fish" man, saying (English):
"I started this job before eight months, so my owner says Shahid you have to shout to attract customers. So I think the shout is not good, the people feel disturbance. But it's a God gifted song. I don't wanna say I wake up all night -- I work one week on this song. No, this [inaudible] put the idea in my mind and I started this song 'Come on ladies, come on ladies, one pound fish'."
See how a simple idea can potentially change your life.
That's what Nazir's fans and family think anyway. And they're sure he might even have a shot in this year's race for the Christmas top spot.

"So all fans said you can do this, you can do this number one so it's not my personal opinion. -- All fans said all over the world so I respect it, my fans. So being an artist, being an entertainer we will fully try so I think the millions people sport is a God sport is my faith, the millions people sport is a God sport so hopefully we will try that but that God will do this number one on the Christmas."
But Nazir is not alone. His track is facing stiff competition from X Factor winner James Arthur, who's also eyeing up the top spot. And according to the Official Charts Company it's a charity single to commemorate the victims of the Hillsborough football disaster which could have the edge.
