The life of murdered Connecticut teacher Victoria Soto is celebrated at a wake on Tuesday.
The 27 year-old teacher was killed as she tried to protect her first-grade students during a gunman's rampage that left 20 children and six adults dead.
She reportedly hid her students in classroom closets and cabinets, and told the gunman they were in the gymnasium.
He then shot her and moved on.
The gunman carried hundreds of rounds of ammunition in extra clips and shot his victims repeatedly, one of them 11 times.
He also shot his mother dead before driving to the school, and then killed himself to end the massacre.
