A day after one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history, Connecticut's medical examiner said the victims were all shot multiple times.
H. Wayne Carver told reporters 12 girls, 8 boys and 6 adult women were killed in the school shooting in Newtown.

"I have been at this for a third of a century and my sensibilities may not be the average man but this probably is the worst I have seen."
The gunmen - identified by law enforcement sources as Adam Lanza - opened fire on Friday morning at Sandy Hook Elementary School - before killing himself.
Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance said investigators had "good evidence" on the shooter's motive.

"Investigators will be able to use in hopefully painting the complete picture as to how and more importantly why this occurred."
A day after the massacre - across the small suburban town, mourners carried flowers, cards and balloons.
Residents gathered at a local Church and - paid tribute to the victims at a makeshift memorial near the school.

"I am absolutely devastated by it and I feel its probably the least I can do to just come here and pay my respects."
Late Saturday, officials released the names of the 26 victims - all of the children were aged six and seven.
