That's right - it's a monkey dressed in a shearling coat wandering through the parking lot of an IKEA store in Toronto.
Police say the seven-month-old primate escaped from its crate in a parked car.
Bronwyn Page was among the shoppers who came across the stylish simian.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRONWYN PAGE, IKEA SHOPPER SAYING:
"There was a group of people around and a little thing on the ground... at first I didn't know what kind of animal it was or what it was and I was like 'oh my gosh, that's a monkey. All the people were trying to call it towards them but it was very scared, it was darting all over the place. They were trying to get it away from cars and then it became clear to us that none of the people there were actually the owners. This is so bizarre. Like why is there a monkey at Ikea? Like I never expected to see that. I was pretty shocked."
News of the macaque monkey went viral with #Ikeamonkey trending on Twitter in Toronto while "TorontoIkea" was trending across Canada.
