Hundreds of Egyptians marched to the presidential palace in Cairo. A concession offered by the President Mohamed Mursi seemed to have little affect on protesters who blame him for plunging Egypt into turmoil.
Opposition members rejected a constitutional referendum Mursi has set for December 15.
Mursi's supporters, many of them religious conservatives say the referendum is a step in the right direction.
His opponents, typically more liberal and Christian Egyptians say the document being fast-tracked by Mursi doesn't embrace the country's diversity.
