The world's biggest oceanarium recently opened.
Oceanariums are home to a beautiful array of sea life. So imagine what can be seen in the world’s largest aquarium. Anyone venturing to Singapore can now visit the S.E.A. Aquarium, which houses over 100,000 marine animals of more than 800 different species.
The facility contains an astounding 45 million liters of water and it opened up to visitors on November 22nd. The oceanarium is part of the Marine Life Park at Singapore's Resorts World Sentosa – a mega resort complex with multiple attractions and hotels.
Aquarium visitors can view sting rays, fish, eels and sharks. There is an Open Ocean Habitat section which features a viewing station that is 36 meters wide by more than 8 meters tall.
The aquarium also houses a rainbow reef for snorkelers and a manta ray feeding area. In a unique display, 25 Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins will also soon reserve a spot at the oceanarium, slated to be on display next year.
The facility is not just for visiting purposes. According to aquarium officials “we will also have a structured education and research programme for the propagation and conservation of marine life animals.”
