A light installation dubbed 'Liquid Light' serves as functioning recycled art.

Given increased awareness around limited natural resources, we all want ‘use and reuse’ in an effort to save resources.

The recycling principle also serves as an inspiration for art.

A line of artistic lights, by a talented designer, Tanya Clarke, is a prime example of the eco-friendly mantra brought to life. Dubbed ‘Liquid Light’, they are described as “custom-built, industrial designed light installations that experiment with the fusion of art, function and environmental consciousness.”

Constructed of hand crafted glass drops, LED lights, and recycled hardware, Liquid Light serves as functioning artistry reminding souls to conserve water.

Tanya states “Liquid Lights create a visual reminder of the precious commodity that water is and our need to protect this natural resource.” The installations vary slightly in appearance from chandelier arrangements to wall hanging lights.

The individual lights boast a similar appearance, as they all appear to be large water droplets, hanging from plumbing fixtures. (1, light catalog) The light radiates from within the droplet, some of which have a bluish tint, creating a wave-like detail.
