Today's K-News is a wrap of the Nintendo 3DS conference held in Japan at noon on September 13th 2011. Below are my notes and highlights from the show.
*Kwing's notes on the 3DS Tokyo Event*
Mario Tennis 3DS! Was a surprise announcement and nobody saw this game coming. Gameplay in the trailer looked more like the classic N64 game, then say Mario Power Tennis.
Paper Mario 3D, has been given a release date of Q2 or Q3 2012 in Japan. Personally this game looks really cool and it looks to continue the classic Paper Mario traditions.
Luigi's mansion 2! Also coming out in 2012 sometime. The loveable clumsy plumber returns, for my goofy ghost busting action! This is on the top of my must buy lists.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games....great another game.
Kid Icarus Uprising...delayed AGAIN!!!! Though now Pit will face an evil mirror of himself..i think. Dark Link anyone? Also Pit will be able to use a variety of weapons, from Shotguns, Bows, Swords and more. Game is expected in Jan 2012 or Fed in Japan. No US or Europe release date of yet.
Animal Crossing 3DS. Its ANIMALS in 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. Fans of the decade old franchise will be able to swim with friends and have a pet too.
Girls Mode...i think Japan only, a Fashion game by Nintendo. Well it's got to be better then the Imagine series right? RIGHT! Anyway, no info on IF the game will release internationally.
Fire Emblem 3DS! It appears the leaked Info on Fire Emblem's next installment for the Nintendo 3DS was indeed correct. All info previously reported on such as the story and characters was correct too. This game could see a release outside of Japan in 2012 as well.
Dynasty Warriors VS. Not really a shocking announcement, but I do have a soft spot for, mindless hack n slashing fun! Here's hoping the game makes it outside of Japan too.
Bravely Default Flying Fairy NEW RPG for the Nintendo 3DS by Square-Enix! Since we all knew about the Final Fantasy rhythm game coming to the system, many people had no idea this game was in development..or coming out next year. Although people were bummed by only a teaser for Kingdom Hearts 3D. Bravely Default looks to be a traditional RPG & im looking forward to playing it.
SD Gundam Generation 3D - Japan only T_T
Not much to say about this game, other then..."It's a GUNDAM" This game is set to take a look back at, all the popular Gundam Anime series over the years. From Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, G Gundam & many more. This would be a must buy for any Anime or Mecha fan...but Namco Bandai most likely won't let this gem outside of Japan..
Miku Project Mirai. Konami's newest game stars Miku, ONE of the most popular Anime characters on the planet right now. She is super cute & will help the 3DS sell alot in Japan come 2012. Cause who better to appeal to everyone then cute little MIKU!!
Resident Evil Revelations, had a new trailer shown. What can I say the game looks awesome and fills me with fear & that's a good thing. RE Revelations, brings the series back to its survival horror roots, trust me when you play this game, best to keep a night light on.
Ace Combat 3D moved to 2012. Flight Combat sim that was announced earlier this year & was then delayed till next year.
Tekken 3DS. At first i thought they were going to reveal Street Fighter X Tekken, but it turns out to be more info on the Tekken 3D fighting game. Not that was a bad thing, still the way they began the trailer for the game, one was really expecting it to be the fighter crossover. So that was a let down, still Tekken in 3D looks awesome, and you get a movie with it too...so it's full of WIN!
