Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah held a meeting with a four-member delegation of MQM Ministers at Chief Minister House.
The MQM ministers were Raza Haroon, Faisal Sabzwari, Zubair Ahmed Khan and Shaikh Muhammad Afzal.
The ministers presented reports pertaining to their department. Minister for Information Technology Raza Haroon presented report of Arfa Karim information technology city Karachi and project regarding introduction of e-Police system in Sindh.
He said that the I.T Department has decided to computerize and modernize the Police Department, provide process automation, connectivity and information inflow to the Police Stations, Central Police Office and Prisons all over the province by the utilization of latest technology. Raza Haroon informed that as per project, 70 call centers, effective and quick response on Emergency Calls; reduce the crime and law and order situation, supportive services (Vehicle Tracking System) and Monitor would be provided to locate the nearest police vehicle.
He further said that with the help of vehicle tracking system, nearest available Police Mobiles, ambulances and fire Brigade will be directed to reach the place of emergency incident immediately. Chief Minister Sindh discussed the issues in detail and assured that these schemes will be thoroughly considered for implementation.
