Snow bound at German-Czech border

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: Heavy snowfall caused extreme traffic conditions on the roads in Germany's southern state of Saxony on Thursday, leaving dozens of lorries stranded near the Czech-German border.

The B174 near Marienberg was especially jammed due to broken-down lorries, with police warning that the heavy snowfall might cause slippery roads and trees to buckle under heavy snow.

No roads are currently closed but the drivers stuck in one of the mile-long traffic jams leading to the border were less than happy about the situation.
