Horrific Family Tragedy While They Tried to Save Family Dog

In a tragic report, two people are dead and one is missing in Big Lagoon after the family goes after their dog in ocean.

In a terrifying report, two people have drowned in Big Lagoon in California, while a 16-year-old boy is missing. According to the United States Coast Guard, three people had been pulled into the water by huge waves.

Officials arrived at the scene and discovered an adult male and female, who were both declared deceased.

The couple’s son could not be located. A search was initiated but fog posed a problem and the teenage boy remained missing.

According to reports the family took their dog to the area and threw a stick in the water but the pet was swept away by 10 foot waves. The teenager went into the water to save the dog, then the father went in to assist. When they disappeared, the mother went in to save her family.

That’s when the 18-year-old daughter called for help. The dog managed to get back safely out of the water.

Big Lagoon is a wildlife area, measuring 1,600 acres in size, containing brackish waters and marsh. The beach is known to be very steep and dangerous when waves are high. An official warns “Don't even stand on wet sand”.
