Emergency workers hose down the smouldering wreckage of a Yemeni military transport plane in the country's capital Sanaa.

The plane crashed into this abandoned produce market near the airport after experiencing technical problems, according to an aviation official.

All 10 people on board the aircraft were killed.

One witness describes seeing flames on the Russian-designed Antonov aircraft moments before it hit the ground.

"The plane was flying over the First Armoured Division and we saw the right engine was burning. Then it descended and crashed here."

In October of last year another Yemeni military plane crashed at an air base in the south of the country, killing nine passengers.
