Take a peek at the beautiful Cave Hotel in Cappadocia.

Hotel architecture ranges from beautiful to unusual. One hotel in Turkey combines all these aspects.

Nestled in the majestic landscape of Cappadocia and carved into a mountain cliff is the Yunak Evleri, commonly called the Cave Hotel.

The hillside dwellings in this region were carved out of the rock faces thousands of years ago.

The hotel itself “is a combination of six cave houses with a total of 30 private cave rooms dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries and crowned with a 19th century Greek Mansion”.

Featuring handcrafted antiques and furniture, each cave house has its own character but reflects the local culture. All of the cave rooms have private patios which allow visitors to enjoy the surrounding landscape.

The curved stairways of stone and labyrinth of narrow hallways add an additional touch of rustic charm to the architecture. Deluxe suites contain either a Jacuzzi or a Swedish jet and stream shower.

Hardwood floors and whitewashed walls created an understated, yet artistic element.
