Members of "Team Jacob" got up close and personal with their leader as Madame Tussauds New York unveiled a wax figure of "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner on Thursday (November 15).
Teen girls sporting "Team Jacob" t-shirts kissed and grabbed Lautner's double, saying it was almost as good as the real thing: "It looks just like him it's amazing. It looks just like him, we thought it was him."
Madame Tussauds New York regional manager said Lautner has long been one of the attraction's most requested figures.
"We thought with the timing of the last installment of the "Twilight" saga it'd be great to have him join Robert Pattinson in our 'opening night party (room),'" said Bret Pidgeon.
Each figure takes roughly 4-6 months to create and is constructed by a team of expert sculptors.
The actor's likeness is red carpet ready in a dark suit: "He's styled similar to what he wore at the 'Breaking Dawn' premiere in Germany back in 2011. So two piece suit, black shirt, black shoes, very stylish, he looks great."
The final chapter of the "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn Part 2" will be released in U.S. theaters on November 16th.
