Clinton lays wreath at Australia memorial

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr laid a wreath at the Cenotaph in Perth, Western Australia on Thursday (November 14).

U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta and Australian Defence Minister were also among official present for the wreath laying ceremony.

Clinton is in Perth with Panetta for annual defence talks with the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Australian Defence Minister Stephen Smith.

The Australia-United States Ministerial meetings are set to focus on defence and foreign policies. Military spending as well as the situation in Afghanistan are on the agenda.

Clinton is set to leave Perth and head to Adelaide on Thursday (November 15) before leaving Australia for Singapore on Friday (November 16).
