Me playing the organ at Christ Church in Walmsley near Bolton, Lancashire.
The organ was installed in the late 1960s by Ronald Curtis of cinema organ fame to replace a previous instrument. The console and some of the pipework was originally at the Odeon cinema in Bolton with other pipework coming from other redundant Compton cinema organs including the Paramount cinema in Liverpool. Although the essential cinema ranks such as a Tibia and Vox Humana are no longer on this instrument, their is a Glockenspiel percussion stop which can be heard in this video. The console is located on the left hand side of the church by the choir with the pipework fully enclosed in a chamber on the right hand side originally used by the previous instrument. The specification reads:

For this first hymn im playing the worship song 'Standing in the need of prayer' which makes use of the cinema organ sounds including the Glockenspiel.
Many thanks to the wardens of Christ Church for allowing me access to this wonderful Compton organ.
NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on dailymotion.
