Me playing the organ at Stonelaw Church in the Rutherglen district of Glasgow.
The organ was first built in 1930 by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd for a cost of £2,900 where it replaced an earlier instrument. The organ is built on the extension principal and located in 2 fully enclosed chambers behind dummy pipe facades on each side at the front of the church. Of particular interest is that the console is of exactly the same design which Compton's used for their cinema organs around this time. In 1993 the organ was given a refurbishment at a cost of over £50,000. The specification reads:

For this first video im playing the hymn 'One who is all unfit to count' to the Scottish tune 'Ayrshire' which makes use of the main tone colours on the organ for accompanying hymn singing.
Many thanks to the officials at Stonelaw Church for allowing me access to this wonderful Compton organ.
NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on dailymotion.
