Amateur video purports to show Free Syrian Army fighters celebrating the capture of the town of Ras al-Ain.

The rebels captured the Arab-Kurdish town on the Turkish border Thursday in a push to seize control of frontier areas from President Bashar al-Assad's forces.

A disguised rebel man says they've liberated the area and now plan to attack the local police headquarters.

Ten people were killed in the clashes as rebels took control of the town.

Syria's northeast region is home to a large proportion of the country's one-million-strong Kurdish community that's largely stayed away from the 18 month old armed revolt.
