The European Court of Justice has ruled that Hungary's decision to lower the retirement age of judges from 70 to 62 years is illegal.
The Luxembourg-based institution announced on Tuesday that the law violates equal treatment rules in the EU. The complaint was originally filed in April by the European Commission.
