Al Qarra - Four meetings in less than three months but no major breakthrough. The leaders of the countries of the Great Lakes Region have met again Monday in Kampala, with the aim of putting an end to the crisis in eastern DRC. Congolese President Joseph Kabila and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame attended the meeting but once again no progress was made on the main issue at stake: the operational concept of the international neutral force supposed to eradicate the militias who sow disorder in the Congolese provinces of North and South Kivu. States in the region want this force to be set up within three months.
