Coming up today on Nick’s Gaming View, Portal 2’s PlayStation Move release detailed, Electronic Arts throws in original Crysis with Crysis 3 pre-orders, and the Mass Effect trilogy to officially launch during the 2012 holiday season, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!
Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Portal 2: In Motion, a collaboration project between the team at Valve and Sixense for Sony’s PlayStation Move, has officially received a release date, price and additional details that its E3 announcement lacked. Releasing November 6th at the price of $9.99, Portal 2: In Motion introduces all-new gameplay mechanics such as scaling and rotation of objects as well as portal surfing thanks to the integration of PlayStation Move. While the PlayStation Move has seemed to die off over the past year, could Portal 2’s implementation bring interest back into the peripheral? Interested in checking the DLC out? Be sure to head to the PlayStation Store November 6th and for those subscribed to PlayStation Plus, you will be greeted with a nice 30% discount.
Continuing on the positive news, fans of the Crysis franchise are in for a treat as Electronic Arts has announced that those who pre-order the latest release in the franchise, Crysis 3, will receive a voucher valid to download the original Crysis on gamer’s respective platforms including: Xbox Live, PSN, and Origin. Considering the original Crysis wasn’t enjoyed by a large audience due to its demanding hardware requirements when it originally landed exclusively on the PC, offering the more than four-year-old release at no cost presents an incredible pre-order incentive.
Wrapping up today’s episode of Nick’s Gaming View, BioWare has announced the release date for the Mass Effect Trilogy offering all three Mass Effect releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Providing PS3 owners with the original Mass Effect release for the first time, this is sure to be a hit when one of BioWare’s latest projects hits store shelves on December 4th.
