South Korea power cuts 'inevitable' after nuclear shutdown

Two nuclear reactors in South Korea have been closed down because many components were not certified.

The government says the shutdown at the southwestern Yeonggwang plant means power shortages over the winter are inevitable.

Several nuclear reactors in South Korea have experienced problems this year. They supply 35 per cent of the country's electricity.
