Wearing the "vanishing ray" device, Stanley Stanfield (Onslow Stevens) secretly accompanies Gloria Grant (Ada Ince) to Wade Barnett's office, where Gloria tries to convince her father to give up his power-mad scheme to control the Tribune. Carl Van Dorn (James Durkin), believing Stanley and Gloria to be in danger, pays a visit to Barnett's office himself--armed with his lethal "destroying ray." The greatest threat to Van Dorn's two young friends may not be Wade Barnett, however, but rather the deadly array of protective electrical traps in Van Dorn's own laboratory!
