STORY: North Korea's state-run television on Friday aired footage of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un enjoying a band performance in Pyongyang.
KRT showed video of a performance by the Moranbong Band entitled "Song in Praise of Guiding Party', held on Wednesday at an auditorium in Pyongyang to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party.
The video showed Kim walking in the auditorium as officials and the audience enthusiastically applauded.
The concert kicked off with the national anthem played by a contemporary band of young women.
North Korea's official news agency KCNA reported on Thursday that two of Kim's close aides, his aunt Kim Kyung-hui and uncle Jang Song-thaek, enjoyed the performance as well.
KCNA also said diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organisations along with their family members were invited to the performance.
Kim's wife Ri Sol-ju didn't appear at the concert.
The ruling party's anniversary if one of the most celebrated holidays along with the birthdays of the late national founder Kim Il-sung and his son and late leader Kim Jong-il.
