A 425-pound gangster is accused of attempting to kidnap a 10 year old boy.
Just thinking about child abductions is terrifying, but one recent kidnapping attempt is beyond scary.
A 55-year-old man from Santa Ana allegedly tried to kidnap a 10-year-old little boy. Police claim that the suspect, Espinoza is a "old school” gang member in the area and weighs 425 pounds. The child was reportedly walking to soccer practice with his teenage cousin. Espinoza was able to get the young boy close enough to hold him, but the child yelled and eventually broke free of the suspect’s grasp.
The boy and his cousin ran to the soccer coach and tearfully told him what had happened. The coach said “The little boy came crying at me, saying that man wanted to take him. He said that he grabbed him and he started smelling him.” The brave coach chased the suspect and tackled him to the ground, but somehow the obese man managed to get away. Police soon found him, with the help of a helicopter’s infrared cameras which showed him trying to hide under a tree in a resident’s backyard.
