Turkish villagers head to a bomb site, after another mortar shell flew across the border from Syria and landed on Turkish soil.
For a sixth consecutive day the Turkish military launched retaliation strikes, as Syria's civil war continues to spill over the border.
Turkey now says it will immediately respond to every cross-border attack.
President Abdullah Gul said the "worst case scenario" was unfolding in Syria.
SOUNDBITE: TURKISH PRESIDENT ABDULLA GUL, SAYING (Turkish):
"We can't expect the situation in Syria to carry on like this. One day for sure there will be a change, but our wish is that this happens before Syria demolishes itself and more blood is shed, and we wish the international community would act more efficiently."
Last week the Turkish parliament approved the deployment of troops beyond its borders.
Officials say they hope it will act as a deterrent rather than a mandate for war.
