Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, during his two-day visit to Kashmir, attended the function to lay the foundation stone for the of the "Z-Morh Tunnel" on the Srinagar-Leh section of National Highway (NH)-1, which aims to provide all-weather connectivity with Ladakh. Striking an emotional chord with the people Rahul Gandhi said that he wants to build a lifelong relationship with people of Kashmir. “When I visited the state last time, the people of Ladakh had told me that the roads in the region are closed during winter. We tried our level best to find a solution to this serious problem and this Z-Morh Tunnel is only the first step and we are planning to execute bigger infrastructure projects in the future. This is just the beginning and we want the youth in the state also take part in the process of development” said Rahul Gandhi.
