Dog Survives After 11-Mile Journey in Car Grill - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

A female pooch has survived after getting stuck in the grill of a Toyota Camry and traveling 11 miles before being pulled out. The male driver of the car was traveling on Route 44 in Taunton, Massachusetts, when a dog shot across the road. He hit the brakes, but didn’t feel the car hit anything. He continued driving at speeds up to 50 miles per hour. Then, in East Providence, Rhode Island, another motorist spotted a dog in the car’s grill and alerted the driver. Amazingly, the pooch survived, but she encountered a bladder rupture and a concussion. The dog, named ‘Suzie’ had managed to wander away from home, but was reunited with her owners after they recognized her on television.

Earlier this year, another dog survived the unthinkable. A German Shepherd was dragged down a major interstate by a black truck. The dog smashed against the side of the vehicle for more than a mile. The pooch, now named Freeway, lost a leg, but lived.
