Spanish political activist Angel Carromero has gone on trial in Havana over the death of the prominent Cuban dissident Oswaldo Paya. Sixty-year-old Paya and a colleague died when Carromero lost control of the car in which they were riding as passengers. He has been charged with manslaughter, but denies it blaming a poor road surface.
