Back in the old days, many parents would put soap in their children’s mouths to curb a case of nasty language.

Today the practice is frowned upon, but that didn’t stop one man. 26-year-old, John Caruso was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly squirting dish soap into his girlfriend, Stephanie Madewell’s mouth to stop her from cursing. According to reports, the couple had gotten into a verbal argument. Caruso told Madewell to quiet down and several minutes later, he snuck up behind her, stuck the bottle into her mouth and squeezed. Caruso told police that he didn’t want her to wake their two kids and he had warned her multiple times before grabbing the bottle. He also claimed that his parents use to do it to him.

Earlier this year, another bizarre domestic incident occurred. Raymond Hodgson, from Carlisle was upset that his partner, Emma McCormick was reading “Fifty Shades of Grey.” He went to Emma's home, armed with a bottle of brown sauce and squirted it at her. He said he wanted to show her "what saucy really meant".
