A Russian court on Monday adjourned to October 10 the appeal of three female members of punk band Pussy Riot against their two year prison camp sentence after one of the women renounced her lawyer. Ahead of the appeal hearing, the three lawyers said that the most they were hoping for was a reduction of the sentence and not a reversal of the guilty verdict. Pro and anti-Pussy Riot protesters gathered, in the presence of large police forces, outside the detention centre the women are currently held. Orthodox activists acted out, kneeling and praying, while opponents chanted songs of the protest group. Duration: 01:05
