Altaf Hussain pays tribute to the martyrs of 30th September and 1st October
London: 30th September 2012
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the blood of the martyrs of the tragedies of 30th September and 1st October would not remain unavailing. The movement for truth and justice would reach its destiny thanks to the immortal sacrifices of the martyrs.
In his message on the 24th anniversary of the tragedies, Mr Hussain said that sacrifices in revolutionary movements promise success. If the workers and sympathizers associated with any movement do not shrink from offering sacrifices, success becomes their fate.
He said that a conspiracy was hatched to create a bad blood between the permanent residents of Sindh which was foiled by the awakening of the consciousness of the peace-loving people of Sindh. Innocent people were killed on 30th September and 1st October for creating feud between the “Urdu-speaking Sindhis” and “Sindhi-speaking Sindhis”.
He said that Sindh is the land of peace and tranquility and the elements wanting to erect the walls of hatred would always fail in their attempts. He hoped that Sindh would always remain a land of peace.
He said that even though 24 years had passed since 1988 when innocent people were soaked in blood, the killers were still roaming freely. He said that justice should be done and the terrorists involved in the tragedies should be brought to book.
