An estimated 30,000 unionists in Northern Ireland have commemorated one of their most important historical dates.
Amid tight security eight protestant organisations marched through Belfast on the centenary of the signing of the Ulster Covenant.
It paved the way for the partition of Ireland and the formation of Northern Ireland.
