A Catholic Church Bans Yoga on Premises - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Yoga is relaxing and mentally beneficial - practiced all over the world and it seems to have a universal appeal.

But a priest in Southampton, UK has recently banned the practice from a church hall, because he states it is “not compatible” with Catholic teachings.
The yoga teacher Cori Withell claims that she shelled out about $300 to rent the hall and the church initially accepted the agreement. She was later told that the deal was canceled. The priest, Father John Chandler states “Yoga is a Hindu spiritual exercise. Being a Catholic church we have to promote the gospel.”
Father Chandler claims that the church was originally under the impression that the class involved Pilates.
Withell retorts, saying that only exercises were used in her teachings and there was no mediation involved. She states “I offered to go down and show them the moves and, literally, the shutters came down.”

What do you think - should yoga be allowed in a church?
