ANDY IRONS SPECIAL TRIBUTE
In some seriously sad and surreal news, former 3-time ASP World Champ, Andy Irons, 32, has been found dead in a Dallas hotel room.
He is thought to have passed away from a severe bout of dengue fever contracted in Puerto Rico where the Rip Curl Pro is currently being held.
Initial reports say Irons was trying to head home to Hawaii but was apparently too ill to board his connecting flight from Texas to Hawaii and therefore stayed the night at a Dallas hotel.
Sincere condolences to his friends and family.
A 3x world champion, brother, husband, and father to be. A.I will be dearly missed by the surfing world.
