The Association pour une solidarité étudiante syndicale organized a multi-headed march billed as La Grande Mascarade, which departed Phillips Square at noon, heading in four different directions. The protesters planned to wind their way through downtown streets in a figure-eight-like pattern, finishing at Place des Arts.
