Thousands take to the streets of Basra to protest the now notorious American-made film mocking Islam's Prophet Mohammad.
Nearly six thousand people including members of the Shi'ite militant group of Kata'ib Hezbollah, tribal leaders and students marched in the southern Iraqi city.
One protester from Kata'ib Hezbollah said that they plan to harass US oil companies in Iraq in retaliation for the film.
Days of anti-American protests provoked by the video, seen widely on the internet, have put Western embassies across the Muslim world on high alert.
In Kuala Lumpur, protesters marched towards the U.S. embassy after Friday prayers shouting "God is Great."

In Bangkok a group of Muslim students gathered in front of the U.S. embassy, calling on the U.S. to punish those involved in the film.
The U.S. embassy in Thailand remained open on Friday but warned citizens to avoid protest areas.
