In a very cool twist on technology, a designer in Jerusalem, Debbi Nitsan has showcased her collection of baked electronic products.
Clocks, radios and torches are baked into a bread and completely transformed. The outer crust takes the place of the products' original cases or shells.
All of the dough-covered gadgets are in working order.
The clock hands stick out from the crust, ticking away the seconds.
As for the radio, the metal antenna is visible, sticking up from the top, while the crusted over dials protrude from the bread casing.
Then there’s the torch or the flashlight. A carrying rope sticks out from the bottom, while the light can be seen casting an orange glow from the bread crust.
Nitsan states, “The contrast between high-tech and low-tech lead me to combine electricity and bakery. By replacing the plastic with a new shell, a unique texture and look is created.”
