Take 53-year-old Gary Craig, from Whitburn, UK. He aims to land a spot in the Guinness World Records this year for wearing the most pairs of underpants. The father of three managed to earn the title last year, wearing 211 pairs of undies, but he was soon overshadowed when another competitor wore 252 pairs in February.
Although the final decision is up to Guinness World Records, Craig seems to have beaten every underwear record out there with his most recent effort. He states “It went very, very well and the official number is 302. I wanted to be the first person to put on over 300 pairs and I did it”.
When it comes to Guinness World Records, another title is the largest gathering of people wearing only underwear. The Utah Undie Run in Salt Lake City won the title in 2011 with 2,270 participants.
The 2012 event was even bigger with 3,316 folks stripping down to their underpants.
