Surfing inside Sydney Harbour - BENNELONG POINT

2012-09-19 1

Real reel or not?

On 6th June 2012 a massive swell hit Sydney, Australia.
The giant waves broke all the way into the harbour, making a perfect 2 foot wave at Bennelong Point, aka the famous Sydney Opera House. Marcie and Frimmy scored an epic sesh with no one else out.

Editors Note:

There are just a few problems with this production:

1. There are no rocks around the Sydney Opera House;
2. The beacon lights around the Opera House, which actually exist, have disappeared in the video.
3. Darren looks preeeeeeetty small compared to the rest of Sydney;
4. The rocks move.
5. The close-up of Darren at the end is like a cardboard cut-out on a postcard.

Swell forecasting experts agree it may be possible for waves to break in Sydney Harbour, but unlikely.

The producers should be congratulated for their video adventure in humor, it's a very good one.
