The multi-platinum selling and Grammy winning Latin rockers Mana, took their rightful place on Sunset Blvd. when the group was inducted into the Guitar Center's "RockWalk" on Monday (September 17).

Mana, recognized as one the top selling Latin bands in the world, was honored for their significant impact to the evolution of rock, blues and R&B music.

The group, formed in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1986, has created a cross-over sound that has resulted in the sales of more then 30 million albums to date.

The band's impression will reside alongside the handprints, signatures, and faces of such rock legends as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Aerosmith, and Stevie Wonder.

SOUNDBITE Drummer Alex Gonzalez saying (English):

"We recorded lots of records here in Los Angeles. So for us, being here and putting our hands in cement and being alongside some of the most amazing musicians that have walked the face of the earth, it is such a humbling honor. If we could inspire future latin musicians and achieve what Mana has done and some day have their hands in cement on the Walk of Fame, that would be a tremendous accomplishment for our band."

The group has been recognized by their musical peers with four Grammy and seven Latin Grammy Awards.

In the United States, Mana has had an impressive six No. 1 albums and nine No. 1 singles.
