As the royal couple fly towards the tiny Pacific island nation of Tuvalu, a French court ordered a gossip magazine to hand over topless pictures of Kate - captured as she sunbathed in the south of France.
The court also ordered the French publication to cease any distribution of its current edition, which includes a spread featuring the semi-nude Duchess of Cambridge.
Meanwhile, another French court has opened a criminal investigation following a complaint by the royal couple that their privacy was breached while on holiday at a lodge in Provence.
The court said it would look into whether there are grounds for criminal charges.
Buckingham Palace has called the photo spread a 'grotesque' invasion of the couple's privacy.
The pictures have a created a media sensation, putting a damper on the duo's Diamond Jubilee tour of Asia.
