Cuba has raised the idea of talks with the United States to try and resolve the case of jailed American contractor Alan Gross.
Gross has been in prison since 2009 for illegally setting up internet networks in Cuba under a US program that promotes political change on the island.
Cuba says the US has yet to respond.
