Colombian anti-narcotics police seized more than 1.8 tons of cocaine from drug traffickers transporting it in a jeep in the northern area of La Guajira, officials said on Sunday (September 16).
Authorities said the drugs have a street value of three million dollars in Colombia and belonged to the Los Rastrojos criminal group, an off-shoot of the now-defunct AUC Colombian paramilitary group.
Police say no suspects were arrested.
In the past three days, Colombian police have seized more than 5 tons of cocaine and 7 tons of marijuana across the country.
