Iran has officially acknowledged for the first time that its Revolutionary Guards have been deployed in Syria.
The commander in chief of the powerful group said that personnel from the Quds division were providing "intellectual and advisory help."
He added that Iran might get involved militarily if its ally Syria came under attack.
